Alias! I don't even care if it sucks more than the suckiest episodes, it's back! ( Alias ) I'm very happy. Could be the deprivation, but I love it.

For some reason the channel that is usually FX has switched to some sort of annoying FOX Reality Network so I can't watch Thief. I don't get it because the menu still says it's FX. I hate Adelphia.

So I just thought I lost my iPod which provided me a perfect stress release because I can never break down about the actual things, just the completely peripheral things.

So yesterday I get an email from my editor of the week at Lost Writers reminding that my Everwood review was due Monday. I worked at a newspaper during college, I know writers are flaky. I'm not flaky. I'm just used to the last minute movie review system. So I had to squeeze it in today, which meant I wasn't that into it, but I still like what I ended up with. I must say it's the best piece about Everwood on the site.
In a more fannish line, I'm enjoying The Evidence. They don't get angry and hetero when gay men hit on them and they moisturize in public. It's all very Fastlane.

GIP. So I have a couple of Baltar and a couple of Six, but now I finally have a Baltar/Six icon courtesy of emily_reich.

A jab at Lance Armstrong! And Coldplay! New love for The Loop. I even like the ditzy blonde, I never like the ditz. And they're going to give it the post-Simpsons slot! At least this weekend.
I completely forgot about Smallville. I'll just find it later. I flipped over in the middle and saw James. I'm glad he's back. It's better without commercials anyway. I kind of miss my show. Even though it hurts me.
Ryan's been traumatized. I love Ryan.
I just saw the end of Without a Trace and that was just insane. They haven't given us this much of these two in so long. The tension, it's tangible, that look, the pretty. I love when this show gets things right.
I'm going back through my journal doing the tagging thing and I used to have some big thoughts. Smallville thoughts. Gaze thoughts. Everwood thoughts. I don't write like that anymore. Some of it was even rather good. Odd, but good. It's the lack of stimulation. Stupid town.

Life on Mars is being remade for ABC by David E Kelley. That's going to suck hardcore. I will never understand that trend. Maybe if the people behind it were trustworthy, but they aren't. Suck, suck, suck.
Things that don't suck, House and Wilson being domestic. While "Love and Happiness" plays.
Also, ( Thief )
So for a while there I was angsting about loving my job, but hating my location. We're at the next stage of that now. Still like the job, but realizing that's not enough. If you're not happy in a place there's not much that can be done about it. Enter new angst. And it was seriously the difference of a weekend. And I'm feeling fat, which I'm hoping will encourage me to step it up with the hiking I've been slacking off on.

I saw Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story today. It was hilarious. I could've watch Rob and Steve go at each other about teeth and bald spots for hours. And the Streisand bit, I was dying. It took me a while to recognize Dylan Moran, he's kind of a giant. Michael Winterbottom is such an odd director. No two movies are the same with him. Now I want to see 24 Hour Party People again.
Also, Bayliss has finally started behaving himself in my head. I'm betting that will change once I get my hands on Season 7 and the movie.
( Prison Break )
I can't even remember what happened last on Everwood. Why must they be so evil to this show?( Everwood )

The Loop is still funnier than most everything else. Still love Darcy ridiculously. This show has the best made up words since Scrubs.
I kind of love the Peter Stormare VW commercials.

Heist is pretty bad. The Evidence though, not so painful. Helps that they start out with Ryan Adams.
You know what pains me the most about the remake of Teachers, the laugh track. It's bad enough they cut it down to 30 minutes, which will dilute the dryness of the original, now they just mock it with the laugh track. Don't they know that's not going to work. If you want to do this, you have to do it like The Office. These people never learn.

Desmond is on 24! I like him better with the Scottish accent. I wish he'd show up back on Lost though.
So it turns out German Guy is gay. Usually that's all I need to click over to objective attraction, unfortunately he complemented my tie today and is German. There was blushing involved. It was bad. Oh well, he's interesting and pretty and has good taste, the girlyness will hopefully dissipate soon.

I'm not dealing with this Tim Bayliss thing very well. It's not that I don't enjoy having him in my head, not in the least, the problem is that he won't do anything. He just sits there and stares at me. ( in which I fail to compartmentalize )
On the up, I was finally flirted with by someone who was not old and nasty. I don't know what it is about the library, but we get some entirely non-personal space respecting men. Anyway, German Guy (accent!!), was possibly flirting with me today. Or just asking me why there was a hole in our wall. It's a tough call.

Tim Bayliss made me change my default icon. Why is this worthy of a whole post? Well, there was Nathanael West for quite a long while there, then Zabriskie ("the rooster") ate my brain last summer, so that's just two defaults the entire time I've had this thing. I just finished season 6 and then came across some icons that seanarenay made, enter new default.
It's just odd because he's so very much suited for me, character-wise, but he wasn't my thing way back in the day. My tastes weren't fully formed back then, I guess. It's not that I don't still love Pembleton, his outbursts still make me giddy, it's just Bayliss is so very Bayliss. Of course, neither would be as memorable without the other. Oh it's been a while since my last obsession, this is nice.
arsenicjade, he's one of those characters I want to make you love. This'll be so much easier shortly, when you can't escape the pimping.

Paul Giamatti is on Homicide. That's insane.
So a while back taintedlord asked me to write reviews for the website he and some people were starting. I was excited, it seems it pays to know people with goals and direction. The time table for everything is crazy because it's a start-up and I'm stuck in Ohio while it's out of New York, but I like stress.
The point of this ramble is that I sit down to write this thing last night and there's nothing. I haven't written anything real since college. Eventually I got something, but it lacked the voice I used to have. And my logic jumped around something horrid. I don't know, at least I'm writing. I think I'll get smoother as I start doing it more. Plus, the stress works for me, gets me riled, runs things round my head. I missed that.
So, self-pimpage. And the whys for Failure to Launch, something I never would've seen had it not been an assignment, just the way it worked out this time. So here it is. My foot is in the door.
